Shelter from rain, wind, and sun are basic human needs. With your help, deserving families can have decent places to live. No matter what level of support you consider, Genesee Habitat has opportunities for you or your organization to become a financial partner.

Ways You Can Donate!

Outright Gifts – It is as easy as writing a check!  And because charitable gifts qualify for federal tax deductions, the real out-of-pocket cost of a cash transaction is usually much less than its face value.

Real Estate – Make an extraordinary gift, transfer residential or commercial property to Habitat for Humanity.  The expense of managing the property will remove a large asset from your taxable estate and relieve you of managing the property.

Materials – For those organizations that desire to make construction related product donations, Genesee Habitat view’s these contributions similarly to cash. Almost any new construction related material such as lumber, plumbing, drywall, nails and fasteners or new appliances can help save Habitat fund to be used elsewhere. Material donations can be tax-deductible. If the materials you would like to donate cannot be used on site, they can be donated to ReStore. Through ReStore, your donation will help to fund Habitat’s projects.  For a list of items ReStore will accept, please visit the ReStore page.

Pro Bono Professional Services – For organizations or individuals that are interested in providing professional services, we place high value and enjoy these partnerships too. Professional services such as legal, environmental, architectural, construction or engineering services are of great need.

Time – One of the greatest donations Habitat can receive is the donation of time. Whether individually or as a group, volunteers ensure decent and affordable homes are built for families in need. If you would like to donate your time on site or in the ReStore, please call or email us!!!

Matching Gifts – Double your giving!  Contact your human resources department for information on your company’s matching charitable gift policy.

Cars for Homes – Car donations can provide hope of a better life for families in your community.  It is easy to recycle your used cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment or other vehicles – running or not.   To donate, contact Habitat’s official car donation program by calling (877) 277-4344.
